Fuckin' Yahoo Mail
I might need to make a new email account because my main Yahoo! account has been infiltrated by spam. It's terrible. Usually I use my "professional" email for anything that could spam me, so that one is flooded with emails about dating black Christians or working as a rebate officer or making my penis bigger. But somewhere along the line, I signed up my main email address with a company that sold my name to every spammer out there. And unless I wanna pay Yahoo! money to have better spam protection (50 filters as opposed to my standard 15), I'm either gonna have to deal with clicking "marking all" and then clicking "spam" every time I check my email or getting a new account.

This sucks. Everything important that I do online--bill pay, LJ, Facebook, mp3fiesta.com--is attached to this email address. I've got emails there saved from back when Gma died and when Mike was in Iraq the first time. I don't know how to up my spam filter without paying, and I don't want to make another account and go through the hassle of changing my email address everywhere else online.

I highly recommend GMail...their spam filters are awesome and catch almost everything. You can download a program such as Thunderbird (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/) to download everything you currently have in your inbox to your computer so you can save it locally. It's probably better to switch your email now then wait and do it a year or 6 months from now when you have even more stuff attached to it. Just send out a mass-email to everyone and make a list of all of the websites/accounts you have to change. Good luck!

I, too, support the Gmail! It's pretty damned awesome at catching spam.

What I did when I switched addresses was just forward all my old stuff to my new address. OR you could create a folder in your Yahoo, move all the important stuff there, and not necessarily delete your account, just stop using it unless you want to read those emails. And then basically just block all incoming mail.

In conclusion: HGmailDubbles.
